Zach’s Clubhouse

Mike and Donna, the parents of Zach Kijowski, are honoring their late son by giving back to the baseball and softball community in the Central Dauphin School District, specifically Paxtonia Athletic Association (PAA), where Zach’s love for baseball began. Zach spent his little league years playing for PAA and then continued to play teener ball for Paxton, as well as travel ball with the Central Penn Renegades. Zach worked for the Harrisburg Senators throughout his high school and college years. Following college graduation, he accepted a position to work for the Washington Nationals organization. Throughout his 24 years, Zach’s love of baseball remained constant.

To honor their son and his everlasting love for the game, Mike and Donna have pledged to build and fund a permanent 60’L x 40’W x 14’H indoor batting facility that will consist of two oversized batting cages and a utility lane that can be used for pitching or indoor drills. “Zach’s Clubhouse” will be a climate-controlled, versatile building constructed outside the center field fence of the Major Field on the PAA sports complex. The wall of the building that faces center field will be visible to everyone entering the PAA complex and will be covered in beautiful gray brick. The proposed completion date is spring of 2022.

Mike and Donna have dedicated themselves to providing this structure because they realize how much enjoyment comes with watching a child play sports with their friends in their own “backyard.” They are inviting the community, where Zach had so many wonderful experiences, to be a part of this project by offering the opportunity to purchase brick(s) with a personalized engravement. The purchase of these bricks will help offset the cost of this indoor facility. This is a great way to permanently honor Zach, support the baseball and softball community in the Central Dauphin School District, and to pay tribute to a favorite organization, business, and/or sports player(s) in your life.
