Thank you Owen's Foundation!

A great thank you from Paxtonia Athletic Association to Owen's Foundation for funding the new backstop on the Teener Softball Field at the complex.  A special thanks to Mark and Karen Brezitski for their meaningful words as our featured speakers during Opening Day.

Please keep those words in mind and check out the Orange for Owen website for more information, as well as opportunities to support this very worthy cause.

Thank you Sponsors!

PAA is truly appreciate of our sponsors' generous support of our youth baseball and softball organization.  Without our sponsors' investments, we would struggle to keep our registration costs within reach for so many of our youths, as well as keep up with our field improvements and maintenance.  PAA is excited and proud to represent so many fine sponsor organizations.

A list of our sponsors can be found by clicking on the Sponsorships tab on the left side of this page and we encourage everyone to support PAA's great sponsors!

Mandatory Background Checks for Coaches

To comply with Pennsylvania law, PAA will require all head and assistant coaches to obtain and submit copies of their Pennsylvania State Policy criminal history and child abuse history certifications before they can begin coaching, if they have not previously submitted their background checks to PAA.  These documents can be obtained at the following website:

http://www.keepkidssafe.pa.gov/resources/clearances/index.htm

Volunteers can obtain free certifications from these websites once every 57 months, and PAA can accept certifications that have been obtained any time in the past 60 months.

In addition, all prospective coaches must complete and submit a copy of the following sworn statement as part of the background check compliance process.

Prospective coaches who have not lived in Pennsylvania continuously for the last 10 years are subject to an additional FBI background check.  Please contact the PAA Board Secretary (secretary@paxtoniabaseball.org) if you wish to coach and have not lived in Pennsylvania for the last 10 years.

Prospective head and assistant coaches must submit these two certifications plus a completed copy of the sworn statement found above to the PAA Board Secretary (secretary@paxtoniabaseball.org) before they will be authorized to begin coaching or help coaching any PAA teams.  Prospective coaches can begin submitting their certifications and sworn statements now, and we recommend that all prospective coaches begin obtaining and submitting their certifications and statements as soon as possible so as not to delay their participation in early spring practices.

If you have any questions about PAA's background check requirements, please contact the PAA Board President (president@paxtoniabaseball.org).

No Vehicles Beyond Teener Softball Backstop

To help ensure the safety of all visitors to our fields, we wanted to remind all PAA families and visitors that no vehicles may be driven past the teener softball backstop in the direction of the concession stand and other fields.  Signs have been posted to remind all that vehicles are not permitted in this area.  Players and others can be dropped off by the majors baseball and teener softball fields, and parking is available in the parking lot at our fields and the Paxtonia Elementary School Bus Loop area located just past our field complex next to the school playground.  Thank you for your cooperation.
